Wildfire Mitigation

Wildfire Risk and Mitigation in our Tree Haus neighborhood has been a frequent topic at the HOA Annual General Meetings for many years. In 2013-2012 a former resident worked with the Colorado State Forestry office to produce a lot by lot wildfire assessment document. This document resides on the HOA website (https://www.treehaushoa.com) at the bottom of the HOA Covenants and Documents page, titled Tree Haus Wildfire Hazard Analysis 2013.

Now some twelve years on, Wildfire Risks and Mitigation has returned to our daily conversation across Routt County. Last year, Steamboat Springs Fire Chief, Chuck Cerasoli, stated that a wildfire event in our community is no longer an ‘if’ possibility, but a ‘when’ reality. The Routt County Wildfire Mitigation Council website is a good resource for more information https://routtwildfire.org/. And the RCWM Council also wants to remind all Routt County residents to be certain that they are registered with the RC Alerts emergency notification system, https://member.everbridge.net/892807736727602/login.

Over the course of the next few weeks Wildfire Mitigation Strategies and other pertinent information will be posted here for your review.
