BEARS and Your Trash

BEARS and keeping them out of your trash.  Please remember that a fed bear is a dead bear’.  It is mandatory that all Tree Haus homeowners and property owners comply with the neighborhood covenant described below.  

Tree Protective Covenants dated March 5, 2014 state on page 12, under the heading GARBAGE and Refuse Disposal: No site shall be used or maintained a a dumping ground for rubbish.  Trash, garbage, refuse or obnoxious or offensive material shall not be permitted to accumulate on any site [homeowner lot] and garbage and trash receptacles shall be placed where they shall not be visible from off-premises except in the preparation for pickup.  Each lot owner shall be responsible for periodic removal of the trash, garbage and rubbish at sufficient intervals so that no site [homeowner lot] shall become unsightly.  The burning of trash, garbage and rubbish is prohibited. Fly tight and bear and bird proof containers are required for the storage of garbage and refuse, pending its removal and disposal.  Garbage and refuse shall not be placed outside for pickup earlier than the day of pickup and receptacles shall not be left at roadside after the day of pickup. 

Failure to comply, demonstrated by your trash scattered across our roadways, your yard, your neighbors' yards will result in a 50 dollar fine per day, maximum of 500 dollars dollars  until compliance and may be waived upon compliance.  For the umpteenth time the Tree Haus HOA implores all homeowers to call Apex/Twin Enviro (970-879-6985) and obtain a REAL bearproof bin.
